You’ve waited patiently for weeks. You’ve theorized on what it would entail. You’ve speculated on how it would go down. Now we know. At long last, Top Shot Score, or TSS, is here – the rebranded, revamped, reimagined version of the former Collector Score (CS). With at least some of the dust settled, we begin to assess the impact on collections:

The Basics:

TSS is calculated on a moment by moment basis.

Base TSS = higher of 1) price paid for moment x 10 or 2) average sale price x 10
Additional early adopter bonus closes any parity gaps with legacy CS (singular one time number fixed through S4, even if you sell the moments that informed it). This bonus is noted on your account page.

Team & Player Leaderboards (coming this summer):

Collectors can “lock” a moment at its TSS value and the score is attributed to team and player leaderboards (separate and distinct from TSS). Locking means “no gifting, listing, consuming or withdrawing to a non-custodial wallet.”

Leaderboards are gateway to exclusive drops, moments, other FLOW stuff, etc.
Leaderboard bonuses for Team Checklists (formerly Team Sets; all additive)
- 10,000 for each completed Series
- 20,000 for complete Contemporary Team
- 25,000 for complete All-Time Team (including historical)

Increased Impact

How much you spent on a moment: the backbone for the entire system. A 4K Anthony Edwards S2 4-Badge (up 12%) no longer counts the same as an Anthony Edwards S2 40K (flat).
Stars: Big ticket star moment purchases should hold considerable TSS value long term. Scarce star moments seem very likely to be “locked” at a higher rate. Star player leaderboards will be prioritized for rewards and the moments that influence them should end up more competitive in the market, therefore maintaining their TSS.
Rookies: Like stars, generally purchased at higher prices and more likely to be “locked” as collectibles.

What are the TSS thresholds for pack drops? The question was asked but not answered. We’re all curious what the old 12K CS or 25K CS now equal in TSS.
When will “locking” arrive? “Mid summer” for V1 was the verbiage in Spaces
Can you only rank on the leaderboard for your designated favorite team? Single entry would prevent OG whales from owning all the top spots across multiple teams.
What else might TSS unlock beyond pack drops and noted leaderboard rewards?
