What is a MetaMask Wallet?

To get started playing the Owners Club, you need to create and connect a digital “wallet” so that you can store and authenticate the TOC cards and Best Ball lineups you will use in our contests. MetaMask is one of the most popular digital wallets. It comes as either an app or a browser extension.

If you already have a MetaMask wallet and just need instructions to connect it to the Owners Club, skip down the article to the second section.

If you need to create your a new MetaMask wallet, just follow these steps:

How to Set Up a MetaMask Browser extension

Step 1: Using the Google Chrome browser, go to https://metamask.io/ (You can also use Firefox, Brave, or Edge browsers) and click the “Download” button.

Step 2: Once you select Download now, you can then select Chrome (if you are on desktop) and then click “Install MetaMask for Chrome.”

Step 3: Once you select Install MetaMask for Chrome, you can then click “Add to Chrome” to add the MetaMask browser extension to Chrome.

Step 4: A popup box will occur indicating what MetaMask can do, you simply want to click the “Add Extension” button.

Step 5: Once added, you’ll come to the Welcome screen where you can click on the “Get Started” button.

Step 6: You will choose to “Create a Wallet” (because you are a new user).

Step 7: Create a password. This password will be the password for your MetaMask wallet for the device that you are currently working on; once you type the password in and check the “I have read and agree to the Terms of Use” box, you can click the “Create” button.

Step 8: Secure your wallet. Watch the Secure your wallet video and read the information about what a “Secret Recovery Phrase” is (also known as a Seed Phrase) … you want to PHYSICALLY write down this 12-word phrase and keep it in a safe place. NEVER SHARE YOUR SECRET RECOVERY PHRASE with anyone, and DO NOT type your secret recovery phrase into a computer or digital device which could be hacked. Physically write it down, create multiple copies, and place them somewhere secure. This phrase is used to restore your wallet on other devices and is the only way that you can do so – there is no magic “I forgot my password” button so you MUST REMEMBER and SAFELY STORE your Secret Recovery Phrase. Once you watch the video, click the “Next” button

Once you proceed to the next screen you can click where it says, “Click Here To Reveal Secret Words” and then you can physically write down and safely store your Secret Recovery Phrase

Congratulations, you have successfully created your MetaMask wallet! You can click on the “Account 1” to copy your public address which you may need to provide. It is a string of numbers and letters such as: 0xF910c11a4d07e81A8c54B4C47E6BF3aE9C984074.

Add the Polygon Network

TOC is played on the Polygon network. To add the network to your new wallet, go to: https://polygonscan.com/

Click the button at the bottom right hand side of the screen showcasing the Metamask logo and the words “Add Polygon Network”

Click “Connect” and then click “Switch Network”

Once you are connected to the Polygon network you can now connect your wallet to the TOC website

Connect your MetaMask in your TOC Profile

To play TOC, you will need to connect your MetaMask wallet to your profile on https://toc.otmnft.com – you can find the step-by-step instructions on how to connect your MetaMask to TOC below:

Step 1: Once you login, click the circle button and then click the “My Account” option

Step 2: Once in the My Account page, toggle to the “Wallet” option

Step 3: Scroll down the page and click the “Click to Connect” button in the MetaMask row to bring up the MetaMask browser pop up and connect to the TOC site

Step 4: Click “Next”

Step 5: Click “Connect”

Step 6: Once connected you’ll want to take one last step to verify your address allowing you to transact on the TOC site. Click “Verify Address” in the same MetaMask row

Step 7: Click “Sign” to sign a transaction and verify your connected address

Complete! Your account is now connected!

Congratulations, you are now ready to dominate the Owners Club!
