Are You Confident?

Hope you’ve got your prognosticator hat on, because we’ve got another exciting contest for you. Best of all, it’s totally free – if you have an OTM account, you’re good to go and can enter the pool here.

This time, we’re getting back to our roots, offering our NBA Playoffs Confidence Pool. How does it work? We’re glad you asked:

Assign points 1 through 16 for each NBA playoff team
Receive that number of points each time that team wins a game
16 points = team you think will win the most
1 point = team you think will win the least
Most points at the end of the playoffs wins

In other words, if you are most confident in the Phoenix Suns, you’d assign them 16 points. If they go on to win the NBA Championship, you’ll get 16 points for each of their 16 wins, for a total of 256 points on that selection. But, if you think Phoenix will win it all and they only win two games, that selection will net you a grand total of 32 points. Like our March Madness Bracket Challenge, there is plenty of game theory to go around.

But what about the Play-In Tournament? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. When making your selections, you’ll see the following drop-down menu:

You can go ahead and make your selections now, and we’ll edit the #7 and #8 seeds in both conferences as they get locked in. From there, you’ll have until 12 pm ET on Saturday, April 16^th to make any changes to your picks.

Future Contests

While this contest is free to enter, some future contests may require you to burn a card from our inaugural season of The Owners Club. If you don’t have any TOC cards, don’t sweat it, you can grab one on the marketplace for a few bucks! In case you haven’t ventured into the wonderful world of TOC in the past, here are some quick and easy steps to get set up:

Sign in using your OTM username and password
Go to your profile and connect your MetaMask wallet
If you do not have a MetaMask wallet, you can follow these MetaMask Instructions.
Once you have connected your wallet, you will need to connect to the Polygon network, also included in this article:
Now that you have successfully connected your wallet to the Polygon network, you can take one of two steps to purchase in the marketplace:
- WETH – need to have WETH on Polygon in your wallet
- USD (PayPal / credit card) – need to complete KYC
Once you have your wallet loaded up, you can hit the marketplace and purchase a card
